The health department said 312 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. Ten more people have lost their lives to the virus. Gauteng continues to lead with 239 new cases.
The Western Cape recorded 16 cases while KwaZulu-Natal had 15.
Only five cases were reported in the Free State and Eastern Cape. Just over 13,000 tests were conducted. The positivity rate stands at 2.3 per cent.
