Top musicians, Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade are arguably Nigeria’s best female musical artists. While the duo has never really been best friends, they weren’t enemies either, at a time.

Their rivalry used to be a healthy one from the start. Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade were competing for the crown of Queen of the industry. This meant they both gave nothing short of their best and the fans loved them both for their good music.

However, things took a drastic turn when they both went public with their hidden animosity for each other.

The Beginning of the Rivalry Between Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade

Yemi Alade

Recall that Yemi Alade publicly claimed to be on the same level with Davido and Wizkid, stating that there is no such thing as number one artiste in Nigeria.

She also passed up the chance to stand for Tiwa Savage, while on a radio show and the presenter talked down at her rival. The presenter, Misi, stated that Yemi Alade has a fine vocal range, while Tiwa Savage just shouts. Literally she said Tiwa’s music is crap and Yemi failed to defend her.

In reaction to the statement, Tiwa shared a video of herself singing. She also made suggestive posts that suggested Misi begging from her. She also hinted that she has cut ties with the OAP and any other person who tries to involve her in “BS.”

The bad blood between the two singers meant they unfollowed each other on Instagram.

How It Ended

For the first time in the Nigerian music industry, two of Nigeria music divas Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade performed together on stage after years of rivalry,

Yemi Alade jumped on stage at the ‘Everything Savage’ Concert headlined by Tiwa in Lagos.

Fans and music lovers at the concert were thrown into a state of shock and surprise to see Yemi Alade climb upstage to support her rival and the crown couldn’t get enough of their joint performance,

Yemi Alade appeared on stage after the DJ started playing her “Oh my gosh” song much to the excitement of the crowd.

It was a beautiful sight as the two singers hugged and performed Yemi Alade’s hit song together.
